14 NOV. 2024 · Description: God has established his rule and reign through his son Jesus. True citizens of the kingdom accept the rule and reign of Christ! While many attempt to gain the inheritance of the kingdom their own way, God has made his Son the only way to inherit the kingdom.

14 NOV. 2024 · Description: We like to be rewarded based on the quality of our work. In the kingdom of God, kingdom workers are rewarded, but not according to their work. The drive to work for the kingdom is not based on a desire to be greater than others; rather, kingdom workers are motivated by God's generosity.

14 NOV. 2024 · Description: The kingdom of God changes how we interact with others, even those who have wronged us. Citizens of the kingdom realize they have wronged God, resulting in a debt that is unpayable. When Christians realize they have been forgiven of their debt before a holy God, life in the kingdom begins to make sense to them.

14 NOV. 2024 · Description: The kingdom of God is valuable and cannot be compared with anyone or anything else. Those who are citizens of the kingdom not only understand the rule and reign of God through Christ but treasure it! To understand the kingdom is to treasure the kingdom.

23 OCT. 2024 · It can be easy to look around and wonder if God is at work in the world. Human beings, with a tendency to measure success by worldly standards, often miss the kingdom of God at work around them. The kingdom of God is growing and thriving, just not in the way we expect.

8 OCT. 2024 · Description: While it is true that God currently rules and reigns over creation, it is also true that evil is permitted to exist for a time. Believers in Jesus do not despair and give up hope, for they understand the message of the kingdom and anticipate a future time when evil is dealt with once and for all.

8 OCT. 2024 · Description: Not everyone is able to understand the kingdom of God, for that understanding must be granted to us. We cannot understand the kingdom on our own! The Lord must heal our hearts and grant understanding of his kingdom, so unless there is a change of heart... we cannot understand the implications and meaning of the kingdom of God.

18 SEP. 2024 · Human hearts are not naturally receptive to God's word and authority. The human heart, in our fallenness, is hostile to the word of God... preventing the life that the word brings. Our first lesson is this: That the heart must be cultivated in such a way that it is able to receive the Kingdom of God.

18 SEP. 2024 · When the gospel of Christ appeals to welcome others into Christian fellowship... the Christian does well to obey the call. The work of Christ in the life of the believer is the basis for this obedience! Such obedience is refreshing and life giving for the congregation, for believers in Jesus rejoice to see the gospel at work around them.
