"Rear Window" (1954) is a classic film with a great premise about a wheelchair-bound photographer who begins to suspect that his neighbor has committed murder. Directed by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock, it stars James Stewart, Grace Kelly, and Raymond Burr. But did you know it's based on a short story? Listen in as we compare the film to Cornell Woolrich's 1942 short story "It Had to Be Murder", the creation of the apartment set, Hitchcock's directing tactics, themes of masculinity and marriage, murders that inspired the film version, and a 2007 movie that is quite similiar.
