Una lezione di vita, anzi due: la prima è che le cose scomode spesso portano delle belle sorprese, la seconda è che se dopo che hai spostato una pianta, quella improvvisamente diventa rigogliosa, forse questo vuole dire qualcosa.

Quando hanno cominciato a fare i lavori per il rifacimento della facciata del palazzo dove abito, abbiamo liberato il nostro balcone e abbiamo portato tutto dentro, sia le cose che c'erano appoggiate, sia i vasi di fiori.

Tra i vasi di fiori che c'erano fuori ce n'era uno di malvarosa, che io avevo lì da un bel po' di tempo, che non cresceva e non moriva, quindi era abbastanza neutro. Però siccome la malvarosa ha queste belle foglie che hanno un bellissimo profumo, l'abbiamo ottenuto naturalmente, l'abbiamo portato dentro e non sapevamo bene dove piazzarlo fino al completamento dei lavori, che sono durati più di un anno, e l'abbiamo messo in bagno, a fianco la finestra del bagno, finestra che però è quasi sempre chiusa, quindi è una situazione molto diversa da quella che il vaso aveva fuori. Fuori era super esposto a sole, vento, tutto quanto, e infatti pensavo sicuramente morirà. Però vabbè, vediamo un po' come va avanti.

Allora passa il tempo, e immaginatevi questa pianta all'interno di una stanza chiusa, con la luce che arriva però molto soffusa perché, ripeto, di solito la finestra del bagno la teniamo chiusa, e questa pianta non solo non muore, ma esplode letteralmente. Passa da essere una piantina alta boh, che ne so, dieci centimetri, 15 centimetri a proprio crescere a dismisura, tanto che tutti i rami piovono a cascata.

Ecco, questa è stata una bella esperienza di una cosa che io ho fatto di malavoglia, perché immaginatevi come ero scocciata, dover liberare tutto, i lavori nel palazzo, uff, che palle! E invece poi l'effetto collaterale, assolutamente imprevisto, è stato che mi ha fatto rinascere questa bellissima pianta.

Ora, un po' di tempo fa sono finalmente terminati i lavori, allora abbiamo ripreso a attrezzare il balcone, che non è gigantesco, però abbastanza grande da poterci sedere, bere qualcosa, e abbiamo cominciato anche a riportare fuori le piante.

Ho preso questa pianta, difficilissima tra l'altro ora da trasportare perché veramente era una specie di foresta, e l'abbiamo rimpiazzata nel balcone, e dopo pochissimi giorni la pianta è praticamente morta.

Sono avanzati, diciamo uno, due rami ancora belli verdi e rigogliosi, però si è tutta seccata con nostro grande... meraviglia perché ripeto, ha sempre vissuto lì e non è mai morta. Ora l'abbiamo messa fuori, abbiamo dato l'acqua, tutto quanto e quasi tutti i rami si sono seccati.

Ora l'abbiamo riportata dentro, l'abbiamo ripiazzata dove era lì nel nel bagno, con le condizioni che aveva prima. Ora dovrò tagliare tutte le foglie secche e lasciare solo i rami buoni e sperare che la bellissima malvarosa si riprenda.

When they started working on the facade of the building where I live, we cleared our balcony and brought everything inside, both the things that were leaning on it and the flower pots.

Among the pots of flowers that were outside was one of mallow, which I had had there for quite some time, that didn't grow and didn't die, so it was quite neutral. However, because the mallow has these beautiful leaves that have a beautiful scent, we ketp it obviously, we brought it inside and we didn't really know where to place it until the completion of the work, which took more than a year, and we put it in the bathroom, next to the bathroom window, a window that is almost always closed though, so it's a very different situation from what the pot had outside. Outside it was super exposed to sun, wind, everything, and in fact I thought surely it will die, but let's see how it goes.

Then time passes, and imagine this plant inside a closed room, with the light coming in but very soft because, again, we usually keep the bathroom window closed, and this plant not only does not die but literally explodes. It goes from being a seedling that is I don't know, ten centimeters, 15 centimeters tall to just growing out of proportion, so much so that all the branches are raining down.
Here, this was a good experience of something that I reluctantly did, because imagine how annoyed I was, having to clear everything, the works in the building, phew, that sucks! And instead then the side effect, which was absolutely unforeseen, was that it revived this beautiful plant for me.

Now, some time ago works have finally finished, so we resumed equipping the balcony, which is not gigantic, however big enough to sit there, have a drink, and we also started to bring the plants back out.

I took this plant, very difficult by the way now to transport because really it was a kind of forest, and we replaced it in the balcony, and after very few days the plant practically died.

There are left over, let's say one, two branches still nice and lush green, however it has all dried up to our great... wonder because I repeat, it has always lived there and never died. Now we put it outside, gave water, everything, and almost all the branches have dried up.

Now we have brought her back in, repositioned it where it was, there in the bathroom, with the condition it had before. Now I will have to cut off all the dry leaves and leave only the good branches and hope the beautiful mallow will recover.
