Siamo alla fine di una giornata impegnativa con i nostri amici giapponesi. Che esperienza fantastica! Quando si viaggia in un paese e non solo si vedono le cose che vedono i turisti, ma poi si entra all'interno di una famiglia giapponese in una casa giapponese ed è bellissimo vedere i piccoli rituali, vedere le stanze.

È anche faticoso perché si cerca di farsi capire e a volte il problema non è la mancanza di conoscenza della lingua comune, che è sempre la lingua inglese, ma sono proprio le diverse usanze, il diverso background culturale che manca da un lato e dall'altro, però i nostri amici, che ci ospitano sono delle persone deliziose e si sono fatti in quattro per farsi capire, per metterci a nostro agio, hanno chiamato gli amici che parlano italiano, che hanno vissuto in Italia, che hanno fatto le vacanze in Italia e poi hanno preparato questo banchetto incredibile di cose buonissime cucinate da loro, naturalmente, e hanno apparecchiato la tavola in un modo particolare, con tutti i piatti particolari.

Una bellissima esperienza che conferma che il valore del viaggio è aumenta e viene amplificato quando effettivamente non fai il turista mordi e fuggi, ma prendi il tempo per stare con le persone. E bisogna anche avere la fortuna di conoscere le persone, perché non è che si possa viaggiare, bussi alla prima porta che capita e dici fatemi entrare, fatemi entrare a far parte della vostra famiglia. Però quando succede è molto bello e c'è questo poi questo grande senso dell'ospitalità e di generosità che per certi versi accomuna e la cultura giapponese alla migliore cultura dell'ospitalità italiana dove le cose che ci sono si dividono.

La casa dove stiamo è una casa molto bella e si vede che è una casa borghese molto grande, a due piani, la nostra stanza, quella che ci hanno dato, è molto grande e c'è naturalmente il tatami e ci hanno dato i futon doppi, ci hanno spiegato che bisogna metterlo orientato verso nord oppure verso est, perché questo è il modo in cui si mette il letto, e ci hanno portato le coperte.
È un po faticoso stare seduti per terra tutto il tempo, anche quando si chiacchiera. Abbiamo cenato al tavolo, però poi abbiamo fatto un gioco di società seduti per terra e quello è stato un po' faticoso, non tanto per le ginocchia ma per la schiena. Però vabbè, va bene così.

Bellissima esperienza e domani si continua a Nagoya con i nostri amici.

We are at the end of a busy day with our Japanese friends. What a great experience! When you travel to a country and not only see the things that tourists see, but then you go inside a Japanese family in a Japanese home and it's beautiful to see the little rituals, to see the space around.

It is also a bit tiring because you try to make yourself understood and sometimes the problem is not the lack of knowledge of the common language, which is always English, but it is really the different customs, the different cultural background that is lacking on one side and on the other, but our friends, who are hosting us are delightful people and they went out of their way to make themselves understood, to make us comfortable, they called friends who speak Italian, who have lived in Italy, who have vacationed in Italy and then they prepared this incredible feast of very good things cooked by them, of course, and they set the table in a special way, with all the special dishes .

A wonderful experience that confirms that the value of travel is increases and is amplified when you actually don't be a hit-and-run tourist, but take the time to be with people. And you also have to be fortunate enough to know people, because it's not like you can travel, knock on the first door that comes along and say let me in, let me be part of your family. But when it happens it's very nice and there is this then this great sense of hospitality and generosity that in some ways unites and Japanese culture with the best culture of Italian hospitality where things that are there are shared.

The house where we are staying is a very nice house and you can see that it is a very big middle-class house, two-story, our room, the one they gave us, is very big and there is of course the tatami and they gave us the double futons, they explained to us that you have to put it facing north or facing east, because that is the way you put the bed, and they brought us the blankets.

It is a bit tiring to sit on the floor all the time, even when chatting. We had dinner at the table, however then we played a board game sitting on the floor and that was a little tiring, not so much for the knees but for the back. But whatever, it's okay.
