It is here that I connect with a variety of people to have inspiring and insightful conversations to help you to live a meaningful, connected and well life both personally & professionally.
My guest on this episode is Nina Hjortlund and in this episode, she shares her admirable and inspirational story and insights.
Nina is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to generosity of spirit and giving back, creating positive change in the lives of the vulnerable. Her dedication, passion and enthusiasm drive her entrepreneurial personality, and she is a believer in creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
Nina is a single mother of 4, 3 of which are neurodiverse, Founding Director and CEO of non-profit-Australia for Cedar Tanzania funding projects in rural Tanzania and Artefactz supporting African women and also currently undertaking a MicroMasters at Queensland University in Leadership in Global Development.
In this episode we chat about:
- Living in Tanzania, getting involved in the non for profit sector and the projects she’s involved with.
- Why Africa matters and why Global Development is important to us all.
- Why supporting women in 3rd world countries matters?
- Nina’s perspective on what it means to be a non-profit and what is a common misconception with regards to making a profit.
-Parenting 3 neurodiverse kids and how she manages to thrive
