Story Transcript:

De: Am Himmel hing eine dicke, graue Wolke. Anna schlug den Mantelkragen hoch und guckte auf die Uhr. 10 Uhr morgens. Sie stand vor dem Café Kranzler am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. Heute sollte sie ihre alten Freunde treffen. Stefan, der lustige Typ, und Klaus, der ruhige Denker.
En: In the sky hung a thick, gray cloud. Anna pulled up her coat collar and glanced at the clock. 10 o'clock in the morning. She was standing in front of Café Kranzler on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. Today, she was supposed to meet her old friends. Stefan, the funny guy, and Klaus, the thoughtful one.

De: Stefan war der Erste, der kam. "Hallo Anna!" Stefan winkte mit der Hand. Anna lachte. Stefans Hut sah sehr lustig aus. "Toll siehst du aus, Stefan!", sagte Anna und zeigte auf den Hut. Stefan lachte laut. "Danke, Anna! Es ist mein neuer Glückshut!". Anna und Stefan gingen ins Café.
En: Stefan was the first to arrive. "Hello, Anna!" Stefan waved his hand. Anna laughed. Stefan's hat looked very funny. "You look great, Stefan!" Anna said, pointing at the hat. Stefan laughed loudly. "Thank you, Anna! It's my new lucky hat!" Anna and Stefan went into the café.

De: Später kam auch Klaus. Er sah müde aus, aber seine Augen leuchteten beim Anblick von Anna und Stefan. "Guten Morgen, ihr beiden!", sagte Klaus. Anna und Stefan sagten "Hallo Klaus!" Klaus setzte sich und bestellte eine heiße Schokolade.
En: Later, Klaus also arrived. He looked tired, but his eyes lit up at the sight of Anna and Stefan. "Good morning, you two!" Klaus said. Anna and Stefan replied, "Hello Klaus!" Klaus sat down and ordered a hot chocolate.

De: Sie redeten und lachten viel. Sie erzählten sich Geschichten von früher. Stefan machte Witze und Klaus hörte zu. Anna lächelte. Es war wie in alten Zeiten.
En: They talked and laughed a lot. They shared stories from the past. Stefan cracked jokes and Klaus listened. Anna smiled. It was like old times.

De: Aber dann passierte etwas Seltsames. Der Kellner brachte einen Brief. "Für Anna," sagte er. Anna sah überrascht aus. Sie öffnete den Brief. In großen Buchstaben stand geschrieben: "DU BIST WUNDERBAR!"
En: But then something strange happened. The waiter brought a letter. "For Anna," he said. Anna looked surprised. She opened the letter. In large letters it said, "YOU ARE WONDERFUL!"

De: Wer hatte diesen Brief geschrieben? Anna, Stefan und Klaus schauten sich an. Niemand wusste es. Sie waren verwirrt.
En: Who had written this letter? Anna, Stefan, and Klaus looked at each other. No one knew. They were confused.

De: Aber dann lachte Stefan. "Ich glaube, ich weiß, wer den Brief geschrieben hat." Er nahm seinen Hut ab und zeigte auf die Innenseite. Dort stand der gleiche Satz: "DU BIST WUNDERBAR!"
En: But then Stefan laughed. "I think I know who wrote the letter." He took off his hat and pointed to the inside. The same phrase was there: "YOU ARE WONDERFUL!"

De: Jetzt lachten alle drei. "Stefan, du bist wirklich ein Scherzkeks!", sagte Anna und sah Stefan an. Stefan strahlte und setzte sich seinen Hut wieder auf.
En: Now all three of them laughed. "Stefan, you really are a joker!" Anna said, looking at Stefan. Stefan beamed and put his hat back on.

De: Die Worte auf dem Hut und im Brief haben zum Nachdenken gebracht. Jeder saß eine Weile still da, dachte nach und lächelte dann. Sie fühlten sich wirklich wunderbar. Es war ein schönes Treffen. Sie schauten auf die Uhr. Es war schon spät. Sie verabschiedeten sich und gingen nach Hause.
En: The words on the hat and in the letter made them think. Each of them sat quietly for a while, pondering, and then smiled. They truly felt wonderful. It was a beautiful meeting. They looked at the clock. It was already late. They said goodbye and went home.

De: Der zentrale Konflikt, das Rätsel um den anonymen Brief, war gelöst. Stefan, der Scherzkeks, hatte wieder für eine Überraschung gesorgt. Bei dem Treffen haben sie alle drei gespürt, wie wichtig ihre Freundschaft ist. Sie fühlten sich wunderbar.
En: The central conflict, the mystery of the anonymous letter, was solved. Stefan, the joker, had once again provided a surprise. During the meeting, all three of them felt how important their friendship was. They felt wonderful.

De: Am Ende des Tages war die dicke Wolke am Himmel verschwunden. Anna, Stefan und Klaus gingen lächelnd nach Hause. Die Stadt Berlin schien ein bisschen heller.
En: By the end of the day, the thick cloud in the sky had disappeared. Anna, Stefan, and Klaus went home smiling. The city of Berlin seemed a bit brighter.

De: Es war ein guter Tag. Ein Tag voller Wunder. Ein Tag, an dem sie sich wunderbar fühlten. Sie freuten sich schon auf das nächste Treffen.
En: It was a good day. A day full of wonders. A day where they felt wonderful. They were already looking forward to the next meeting.
