De: Die Sonne stand schon hoch am Berliner Himmel, als Hans ein letztes Mal sein Picknickkorb prüfte.
En: The sun was already high in the sky of Berlin when Hans checked his picnic basket one last time.
De: Alles war dabei: Sandwiches, Saft, Kuchen.
En: Everything was there: sandwiches, juice, cake.
De: Heute traf er sich mit Sophia im Tiergarten, das Herz der Stadt, zu einem entspannten Picknick.
En: Today he was meeting Sophia in the Tiergarten, the heart of the city, for a relaxing picnic.
De: In der Ferne konnte Hans schon Sophia erkennen, wie sie am vereinbarten Treffpunkt wartete.
En: In the distance, Hans could already see Sophia waiting at the agreed meeting point.
De: Sie war mit ihrem sonnengelben Kleid ein heller Fleck in der grünen Landschaft des Parks.
En: With her sun-yellow dress, she was a bright spot in the green landscape of the park.
De: Als sie ihn sah, winkte sie mit einem strahlenden Lächeln.

De: Sie breiteten die Picknickdecke aus und packten das Essen aus, das Hans mitgebracht hatte.
