After her divorce she pivoted from nursing to pharmaceutical sales which offered more predictable work hours as she raised her children as a single mother. In her first pharmaceutical sales position, she was grossly underpaid compared to her peers and given the most historically unprofitable sales territory. Rather than complain about the pay and other challenges, she developed a plan to overcome the obstacles and lead the department in sales. Her bonuses more than made up for the low salary. When pharmaceutical companies began to consolidate, she was downsized out of a job. That is when she decided to become an entrepreneur and It’s Essential was launched. Now she is an author, life coach, motivational speaker, podcaster and online store owner. In spite of all the obstacles faced, she found a way to end up on top.
