About this founder:
Ayanna Smith is the co-founder of the award-winning Escape Lounge (escape room business) in Washington, DC, the live escape game app, Ridlz and #AskMe Tees.


As a life-long visionary & former public relations strategist, Smith found her next "big idea" in the emerging escape room market, launching the first live escape game for children in the country. In its first quarter, The Escape Lounge won Best New Business of the Year in Capitol Hill & in 2017 Washington City Paper readers voted it Best Escape Room in DC metro area.


Smith has led large-scale internal and external outreach campaigns for both local government and nonprofit organizations.


Smith obtained her Master of Arts degree from Bowie State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University. She currently lives in Washington, DC with her husband, and their two daughters, Raven and River.
