It's been a while between drinks on the live scene for Melbourne melodic death metal outfit Belakor, with over half a decade elapsing since they last graced their home stages....
mostra másThat is about to change next month as the band head out on their Coherence tour, honouring last years album of the same name.
Keyboard/piano/synth player Steve Merry sat down with HEAVY to chat about the run of shows.
"It has been a while,” he sheepishly smiled. “It's been about six or seven years since we played in Australia and that's too long. So hopefully the people who are still fans and remember us and have waited that long can look forward to hearing some songs they know well and a few new ones. I think we're playing a slightly longer set than we've ever played before, so that should be good. We feel like it's an important thing to give people a set that's a decent length so looking forward to getting out there."
In the full interview Steve talks more about the tour and what to expect, the reasons it has been so long between home shows, how they prepare for a tour, last years album Coherence and keeping it fresh, the support bands and why they were chosen, future plans and more.
