En: “I've never been this close to the edge before,” she thought.

Ga: "Cad a tharlóidh má thiteann mé?"

En: Eamon snapped out of his own thoughts.

Ga: Chonaic sé Aoife ag streachailt.
En: He saw Aoife struggling.

Ga: "An bhfuil tú ceart go leor?" arsa sé le buairt sa ghlór.

Ga: "Tá mé ceart go leor," a dúirt sí, ach bhí imní ar a aghaidh.
En: “I’m okay,” she said, but there was anxiety on her face.

Ga: "Ní féidir liom an grianghraf foirfe a fháil ón áit seo."
En: “I can’t get the perfect photo from here.”

Ga: Bhí Eamon ag féachaint síos go tapaidh.
En: Eamon looked down quickly.

Ga: Bhí a chroí ag preabadh.
En: His heart was pounding.

Ga: Ach bhí a fhios aige go gcaithfeadh sé cabhrú léi.
En: But he knew he had to help her.

Ga: Thug sé lámh di.
En: He offered her his hand.

Ga: "Tusa atá i gceannas," ar sé.
En: “You are in charge,” he said.

Ga: "Beidh mé ceart go leor anseo leat."
En: “I’ll be okay here with you.”

Ga: Labhair sé an fhírinne.
En: He spoke the truth.

Ga: "Tá eagla orm roimh airde," a dúirt sé, ag nochtadh a rún.
En: “I’m afraid of heights,” he said, revealing his secret.

Ga: "Ach táim anseo duit."
En: “But I’m here for you.”

Ga: Chuaigh Aoife í an t-iontas.
En: Aoife was surprised.

Ga: Thairg sí lámh dó freisin.
En: She offered him her hand too.

Ga: Le chéile, shiúil siad níos gaire don imeall.
En: Together, they walked closer to the edge.

Ga: D'éirigh leo.
En: They succeeded.

Ga: Ach go tobann, shleamhnaigh Aoife.
En: But suddenly, Aoife slipped.

Ga: Láithreach, rug Eamon uirthi.
En: Immediately, Eamon grabbed her.

Ga: Bhí an bothar faoina chosa dochreidte, ach níor lig sé scaoilte.
En: The ground under his feet was unbelievable, but he didn’t let go.

Ga: Bhí sé ag seachaint airde ach ag sabháil Aoife ag an am céanna.
En: He was avoiding the height but saving Aoife at the same time.

Ga: Bhí sin bródach.
En: That was something to be proud of.

Ga: Nuair a bhí sí sábháilte, rinne Aoife a cúltacaí ceart agus grianghraf agus rinne íomhá foirfe den radharc álainn.
En: When she was safe, Aoife adjusted her focus and took the perfect picture of the beautiful scene.

En: Eamon was feeling stronger.

Ga: Bhí an eachtra tar éis iad a aistriú.
En: The adventure had transformed them.

Ga: Agus nuair a fhill siad abhaile, chuir Aoife an grianghraf isteach sa chomórtas.
En: And when they returned home, Aoife submitted the photo to the competition.

Ga: Ach, ba chuimhin léi an rud is tábhachtaí: "Ní hamháin an grianghraf é, ach an cairdeas agus misneach a bhain mé amach," ar sí.
En: But she remembered the most important thing: “It’s not just the photo, but the friendship and courage I gained,” she said.

Ga: Bhí deireadh sona acu araon, Aoife agus Eamon, ag foghlaim faoi fhíor-láidreacht agus féin-mhuinín.
