Af: Op 'n helder sonskynoggend het Johan, met sy groot sonbril en breë glimlag, by Die Ou Meul Koffiewinkel ingestap.
En: On a bright sunny morning, Johan, with his large sunglasses and broad smile, walked into Die Ou Meul Coffee Shop.

Af: Die aroma van vars gemaalde boontjies het deur die lug getrek.
En: The aroma of freshly ground beans wafted through the air.

Af: Elize, met haar kristalblou oë en vrolike lag, het daar gesit, in haar splinternuwe wit hemp wat sy pas gekoop het vir 'n belangrike onderhoud later daardie dag.
En: Elize, with her crystal-blue eyes and cheerful laugh, sat there in her brand-new white shirt that she had just bought for an important interview later that day.
