Fr: Sur les vastes boulevards de Paris, Pierre avait un plan.
En: On the vast boulevards of Paris, Pierre had a plan.

Fr: Sophie, la fille la plus mignonne de son cours de français, allait être impressionnée.
En: Sophie, the cutest girl in his French class, was going to be impressed.
