Story Transcript:

Sr: Bio jednom jedan stari gradski trg u srcu Srbije, gde se nalazila kafana "Vreme veselja".
En: Once upon a time, there was an old town square in the heart of Serbia, where the tavern "Time of Joy" stood.

Sr: To je bio omiljeno mesto gde su se okupljali prijatelji i pričale zgode iz starih dana.
En: It was a favorite gathering place for friends to share stories from days gone by.

Sr: U tu kafanu su često dolazili Milica, Nikola i Dragan, najbolji drugari još iz školskih dana.
En: Milica, Nikola, and Dragan, best friends since their school days, often came to this tavern.

Sr: Jedne večeri, dok je Mirno veče teklo, Nikola je pričao viceve, a Dragan je strpljivo slušao.
En: One evening, as the peaceful night went on, Nikola told jokes while Dragan listened patiently.

Sr: Milica je nosila punu čašu rakije do stola gde su sedeli.
En: Milica carried a full glass of rakija to their table.

Sr: Pokušavajući da se provuče između stolova pretrpanih smehom i pesmom, Milica je spotakla nogu o nečiji stolicu.
En: Trying to weave through the tables filled with laughter and song, Milica tripped over someone's chair.

Sr: Odjednom, kao u sporom pokretu, čaša rakije poletela je iz njenih ruku i sletela pravo u Nikolin krilo.
En: Suddenly, as if in slow motion, the glass of rakija flew from her hands and landed right in Nikola's lap.

Sr: Svi u kafani zanemeli su na trenutak, a onda se prasnulo u smeh.
En: Everyone in the tavern fell silent for a moment, then burst into laughter.

Sr: Nikola je ustao, mokar od glave do pete, i gledao u mokru fleku na svojim pantalonama.
En: Nikola stood up, drenched from head to toe, and looked at the wet stain on his pants.

Sr: "Hajde, Draganu," reče Nikola, pružajući mu ruku.

Sr: "Dragan je skočio na noge, skinuo kaput i namestio šešir.
En: Dragan jumped to his feet, took off his coat, and adjusted his hat.

Sr: Kafana je postala poprište neverovatnog plesnog dvoboja.
En: The tavern became the scene of an incredible dance duel.

Sr: Nikola je zaplesao prvi, njegovi koraci su bili brzi kao da plešu na vrućem ugljevlju.
En: Nikola danced first, his steps as quick as if dancing on hot coals.

Sr: Sledio ga je Dragan, koji je izvodio smešne pokrete koji su više podsećali na kokošku nego na plesača.
En: He was followed by Dragan, who made funny movements that resembled a chicken more than a dancer.

Sr: "Milice, sledeći put kada mi poliješ rakiju, napravićemo takmičenje u pevanju!
En: "Milica, next time you spill rakija on me, we'll have a singing competition!"

Sr: "Svi u kafani su se smejali, a Milica je odgovorila: "Dogovoreno, ali samo ako ti častiš rakiju!
En: Everyone in the tavern laughed, and Milica replied, "Agreed, but only if you buy the rakija!"

Sr: "Smeh je odzvanjao kafanom dok je noć odmicala.
En: Laughter echoed through the tavern as the night went on.
