With the recent release of single "Find My Way Out", Brisbane outfit Torizon have had to not only overcome personal demons in getting the song released, but have also had...
mostra másAfter having to change their initial plans and recording process with the single, "Find My Way Out" has already been called their most defiant anthem yet, a statement backed up by vocalist Mish.
"Being a very young band - we've only been around for 18 months - we are extremely grateful for everything we've been able to accomplish and the support we've received has been ridiculous", she enthused. "I write songs from my own experiences and with the first E.P you could get a sense of that but not as blatantly as you do with this song. Also, it is a theme that is so common - particularly with musicians - about being in a dysfunctional musical relationship and it's something that people don't talk about. It's almost taboo. In the full interview Mish talks more about the challenges involved with finishing "Find My Way Out", how their plans changed due to restrictions, getting special clearance to film parts of the clip, writing emotion music without letting it get the better of you, dealing with lockdown as a young band, future music and more.
