Story Transcript:

Ja: 東京の賑やかな渋谷、交差点には人がいっぱいです。
En: In the bustling Shibuya of Tokyo, the crosswalk is full of people.

Ja: ネオンライトが光り、車や人々の声が響き渡ります。
En: Neon lights shine brightly, and the sounds of cars and people's voices resonate all around.

Ja: 夏の暖かい風が街を包み、遠くから七夕祭りの準備の音が聞こえてきます。
En: The warm summer breeze envelops the city, and from afar, the sounds of preparations for the Tanabata Festival can be heard.

Ja: この中に、花という若い大学生がいます。
En: Amongst the crowd is Hana, a young university student.

Ja: 花は伝統的な日本の祭りとファッションが好きです。
En: Hana loves traditional Japanese festivals and fashion.

Ja: けれども、少し優柔不断でおとなしい性格です。
En: However, she has a slightly indecisive and quiet personality.

Ja: でも、今年の七夕祭りでは、美しい浴衣を着て、自信を持って目立ちたいと思っています。
En: But this year, at the Tanabata Festival, she wants to stand out with confidence by wearing a beautiful yukata.

Ja: 「素敵な浴衣を見つけたい」と心の中で呟きながら、花は渋谷の店を見て回ります。
En: "I want to find a lovely yukata," she murmurs to herself as she looks around the shops in Shibuya.

Ja: たくさんの色とりどりの浴衣が並んでいます。
En: There are many colorful yukatas on display.

Ja: しかし、たくさんの種類があって、どれを選べばいいか分かりません。
En: However, with so many choices, she doesn't know which one to pick.

Ja: 花は考えます。「伝統的な浴衣がいいか、それとも現代的なデザインがいいか」
En: Hana ponders, "Should I go for a traditional yukata, or would a modern design be better?"

Ja: 決めるのが難しくて、少し不安になります。
En: It's difficult to decide, and she begins to feel a bit anxious.

Ja: 「店員さんや他のお客さんに聞いたらどうだろう」とも考えますが、声を掛ける勇気がなかなか出ません。
En: She considers asking the shop staff or other customers for advice, but doesn't quite muster the courage to do so.

Ja: ある店の前に立ち止まった時、目に留まる浴衣があります。
En: While standing in front of one shop, her eyes catch sight of a particular yukata.

Ja: マネキンが着ているその浴衣は、普通の浴衣とは少し違います。
En: The yukata on the mannequin is a bit different from the usual ones.

Ja: 伝統的な柄と現代的なデザインを上手く組み合わせています。
En: It cleverly combines traditional patterns with modern design.

Ja: 「これだ！」と心の中で思います。
En: "This is it!" she thinks to herself.

Ja: でも、その浴衣の値段を見て驚きます。
En: However, when she sees the price of the yukata, she's taken aback.

Ja: 「予算より高い...」と悩みます。
En: "It's over my budget..." she worries.

Ja: 「他の安い浴衣にするべきか...
En: "Should I go for a cheaper yukata instead?

En: But if I wear this one, I might feel more confident."

Ja: しばらく考えた後、花は決めました。「この浴衣を買おう」と。
En: After thinking for a while, Hana decides, "I’ll buy this yukata."
