Ja: サトシとアキラは家でテレビを観ていた。
En: Satoshi and Akira were watching TV at home.

Ja: サトシはオリンピックのスケート競技を応援していたが、アキラはカーレースに夢中だった。
En: Satoshi was rooting for the Olympic skating competition, but Akira was into car racing.

Ja: 数時間後、スケート競技が終わり、カーレースが始まった。
En: A few hours later, the skating competition ended and the car race began.

Ja: しかし、最初はサトシもアキラの興奮に引き込まれ、手拍子と共に車を追跡していた。
En: However, at first Satoshi was also drawn into Akira's excitement and followed the car with clapping hands.
