God’s presence and favor were with Joseph, and although he was enslaved, God had his hand in everything that happened to Joseph, and he has his hand in everything that happens to you. Joseph excelled in everything and became successful and prosperous even while living in bondage in the house of Potipher, the captain of Pharoah’s guard.
God’s presence and favor caused everything Joseph did to prosper (Genesis 39:3), which is far more than your skill, intelligence, and cleverness could ever achieve. The Lord was continually on Joseph’s lips. In other words, Joseph did everything as unto God and not to man. (Colossians 3:23) He put his heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself.
Listen, just as the Lord was with Joseph and demonstrated His faithful love by giving him great favor – He does the same for you, His child! Now, the cascading riches of God’s favor are working powerfully in you releasing all forms of wisdom and practical understanding. (Ephesians 1:8. 2:8) According to His power that works in you, who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)
