In the new series Counterpart, Academy Award® winner J.K. Simmons plays Howard Silk, a lowly cog in the bureaucratic machinery of a Berlin-based United Nations spy agency. When Howard discovers that his organization safeguards the secret of a crossing into a parallel dimension, he is thrust into a shadow world of intrigue and danger, where the only man he can trust is his near-identical counterpart from the parallel world.
Counterpart also stars British actor Harry Lloyd as Peter Quayle, an upper-crust agency director whose career begins to unravel as he sinks deeper into the world of espionage and double lives. With a reputation for acclaimed performances in film, television, and theatre, Harry Lloyd is best known for his role as ‘Viserys Targaryen’ in HBO’s Emmy®-winning series, Game of Thrones, and also starred in the Emmy®-winning series Manhattan.
