Story Transcript:

Ja: 新宿御苑の春
En: Shinjuku Gyoen in Spring

Ja: 春の朝、ハルキ、アイコ、そしてリナは新宿御苑に来ました。
En: One spring morning, Haruki, Aiko, and Rina visited Shinjuku Gyoen.

Ja: 桜がとてもきれいで、花びらが風に舞っていました。
En: The cherry blossoms were incredibly beautiful, and the petals were dancing in the wind.

Ja: 「すごい！桜、桜！」リナが叫びました。
En: “Wow! Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms!” Rina exclaimed.

Ja: アイコも笑顔です。
En: Aiko also had a smile on her face.

Ja: でも、ハルキの顔色は悪いです。
En: But Haruki looked unwell.

Ja: 「ハルキ、大丈夫？」アイコが聞きました。
En: “Haruki, are you okay?” Aiko asked.

Ja: 「うん、でも目がかゆい。
En: “Yeah, but my eyes are itchy.

Ja: 鼻水も出る」とハルキが言いました。
En: And I’ve got a runny nose,” Haruki replied.

Ja: 「私も。くしゃみが止まらない。」リナもつらそうです。
En: “Me too. I can’t stop sneezing,” Rina said, looking distressed.

Ja: 「花粉症かな？」アイコが心配そうに言いました。
En: “Could it be hay fever?” Aiko asked worriedly.

Ja: リナとハルキは頷きました。
En: Rina and Haruki nodded.

Ja: 三人はベンチに座りました。
En: The three of them sat down on a bench.

Ja: ハルキはポケットからティッシュを出しました。
En: Haruki took out some tissues from his pocket.

Ja: 「ティッシュ、どうぞ」と言ってリナに渡しました。
En: “Here, have a tissue,” he said, handing them to Rina.

Ja: リナはティッシュを受け取りました。
En: Rina accepted the tissue.

Ja: 「ありがとう、ハルキ」。
En: “Thank you, Haruki.”

Ja: 「外はきれいだけど、中に入りたいな」とアイコが言いました。
En: “It’s beautiful outside, but I want to go inside,” Aiko said.

Ja: 三人は近くのカフェに入りました。
En: The three of them went into a nearby café.

Ja: 暖かいお茶を飲みながら、窓から外の桜を見ました。
En: They drank warm tea while looking at the cherry blossoms outside the window.

Ja: 「ここは落ち着くね」とハルキが言いました。
En: “This place is relaxing,” Haruki said.

Ja: 「うん、そして温かいお茶もおいしい」とリナが笑顔で言いました。
En: “Yes, and the warm tea is delicious too,” Rina said with a smile.

Ja: 「外は大変だけど、中でゆっくりできてよかった」とアイコも安心しました。
En: “It’s tough outside, but I’m glad we can relax here,” Aiko said, feeling relieved.

Ja: 三人は花粉症に苦労しましたが、カフェの中で楽しい時間を過ごしました。
En: Though the three struggled with hay fever, they had a pleasant time inside the café.

Ja: 春の新宿御苑はとても美しくても、季節の変わり目は大変です。
En: Even though Shinjuku Gyoen is very beautiful in the spring, the changing seasons can be challenging.

Ja: それでも、友達と一緒なら何とか乗り越えられます。
En: However, with friends, they managed to get through it.

Ja: その日、三人は新しい場所で新しい思い出を作りました。
En: That day, the three of them made new memories in a new place.

Ja: 花粉症は辛いけど、やさしい友達がいれば大丈夫です。
En: Hay fever is tough, but having kind friends makes it bearable.

Ja: 桜の季節は来年もまた楽しめるでしょう。
En: They look forward to enjoying cherry blossom season again next year.
