The title alone issues a challenge that most would shrug their shoulders and walk from. Here not there. Here is supposed to be fun, uplifting and overtaken by magic dust. The stuff required to erase what yesterday brought us. The really cool mystery juice that pushes us toward tomorrow without having to worry about what got us here. On this podcast the focus is put on learning how to live in what is your now. A horrible journey that demands more attention than a two year old. Learning how to deal with the present means the physical picture belongs to a past we can't change. But we do. We like to rewrite everything. Being present is the truer gift. I'm guilty of looking at my Google calendar and finding reason to worry. I'm a planner. A prepper. I like to know if something goes wrong I've got the solution. Living that lifestyle is like writing a book that will never be released. All of that work for nothing. Here not there. As mindful as I can be it's not easy being present in your now. We don't like the Lego blocks required to build the platform. The scent of yesterday and those before it reek of stale hamburger grease from three months ago. How do I prepare for the now if the movie reel is already in motion? By being grateful for where you once were. Accepting it. Trusting it. Activating newer shapes of energy caused by the storms of change. Leave it where it is. Be in the here. You aren't paid to like it. You can fight it all you want. But why waste so much energy when tomorrow presents itself as being somewhere you may not reach? Here not there. It's a tough way to walk but with enough practice you'll find your peace.
