Story Transcript:
Nb: Det var en lys morgen i mai.
En: It was a bright morning in May.
Nb: Solen skinte over fjorden og fjellene.
En: The sun shone over the fjord and the mountains.
Nb: Nils og Ingrid var på vei til Preikestolen.
En: Nils and Ingrid were on their way to Preikestolen.
Nb: De hadde gledet seg til denne turen i flere uker.
En: They had been looking forward to this hike for weeks.

En: Nils walked quickly but carefully back down the trail.

En: With help from the guide, Nils and Ingrid carefully supported her back down the trail.
Nb: Det tok tid, men snart var de trygt nede igjen.
En: It took time, but soon they were safely down again.
Nb: “Jeg er så lei meg for at vi ikke nådde toppen,” sa Ingrid.
En: “I’m so sorry we didn’t reach the top,” said Ingrid.
Nb: Nils smilte til henne.
En: Nils smiled at her.
Nb: “Det viktigste er at du er trygg,” svarte han.
En: “The most important thing is that you’re safe,” he replied.
Nb: “Vi kan alltid prøve igjen en annen gang.” Ingrid nikket og smilte.
En: “We can always try again another time.” Ingrid nodded and smiled.
Nb: “Ja, vi kommer tilbake,” sa hun med et glimt i øyet.
En: “Yes, we will come back,” she said with a sparkle in her eye.
Nb: Og med det løftet i tankene, visste Nils at de en dag ville stå sammen på toppen av Preikestolen.
En: And with that promise in mind, Nils knew that one day they would stand together on top of Preikestolen.
Nb: Lengre turer venter, men for nå var vennskap og sikkerhet det viktigste.
En: Longer hikes await, but for now, friendship and safety were the most important.
