The Kerala red rain phenomenon was a blood rain event that occurred from July 25 and ran until September 23, 2001. There were daily heavy downpours of red-colored rain falling from the sky. Kerala is one of the southern states in India.

It had come down in the jungle but no one knew or was willing to guess how.
