I've told you many times that we can't run a lot of shows because the audio qualilty of the shows is poor. This hour I'm bringing you two shows where the content is great, but the audio is, well, suck.

First is Counterspy starring Don Maclaughlin and Mandel Kramer, originally broadcast May 17, 1942, The Case of the Confidential Messenger. An Army courier, carrying military plans, is murdered on a train. David Harding enlists in the aide of socialite to track down the culprits.

Then an episode of the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, originally broadcaast May 17, 1945, The Speckled Band. he program is introduced by Adrian Conan Doyle (son of Arthur Conan Doyle). Adrian asks, "Who was Sherlock Holmes?" He answers his own question.
