Story Transcript:

Ca: A l'ombra intimidant de la Sagrada Família, tres amics, Pere, Marta i Jordi, s'adentraven pel laberint de carrerons que forma el Barri Gòtic de Barcelona. Tenien una ambiciosa missió que els mantenia distrets dels arcs gòtics i les façanes intimidants: trobar el restaurant on havien reservat taula per sopar.
En: In the intimidating shadow of the Sagrada Família, three friends, Pere, Marta, and Jordi, ventured into the maze of narrow streets that make up the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. They had an ambitious mission that kept them distracted from the Gothic arches and intimidating facades: to find the restaurant where they had reserved a table for dinner.

Ca: Pere i Marta anaven girant esquerra i dreta, perdent-se a cada pas, la confusió pintada als rostres. Mentre, Jordi, amb el mapa a la mà, intentava dirigir-los amb indicacions que més que aclarir, laberintaven. "Heu de girar al costat que no està cap al mar, però al revés", els orientava Jordi amb una seguretat que espantaria fins i tot als més valents.
En: Pere and Marta turned left and right, getting lost with every step, confusion painted on their faces. Meanwhile, Jordi, with the map in hand, tried to guide them with directions that, instead of clarifying, made the labyrinth even more complicated. "You have to turn in the direction that is not towards the sea, but the opposite," Jordi instructed them with a confidence that would scare even the bravest.

Ca: La simfonia del soroll de motos i venedors ambulants es confonia amb el cant dels ocells ocults, acompanyant la seva expedició per aquesta selva urbana centenària. L'olor dels cafès que permeaven les estretes parets de pedra es mesclava amb l'aroma dels xurros calents dels venedors del costat de la catedral.
En: The symphony of motorcycle noise and street vendors blended with the song of hidden birds, accompanying their expedition through this centuries-old urban jungle. The smell of coffee permeating the narrow stone walls mixed with the aroma of hot churros from the vendors next to the cathedral.

Ca: Però les indicacions de Jordi eren enigmàtiques, com les preguntes d'un antic oràcle. "Si la Sagrada Família està al vostre esquerra, hauríeu d'ír cap a la dreta; però si està a la dreta, preneu l'esquerra... a menys que estigueu mirant al nord, llavors aneu cap al sud." Ca: Però després d'hores de girs inacabables pel cor enllaunat de Barcelona i amb les instruccions "clares" de Jordi, la mirada eufòrica de Pere reflectia una victòria no contada. La llum calida que emanava d'una tauleta de fusta gastada, estampada amb la paraula "El Quim", maravellava als desorientats exploradors. Havien aconseguit trobar el restaurant.
En: But after hours of endless turns through Barcelona's winding heart and with Jordi's "clear" instructions, Pere's euphoric gaze reflected an untold victory. The warm light emanating from a worn wooden sign, stamped with the word "El Quim," amazed the disoriented explorers. They had managed to find the restaurant.

Ca: Tot i així, es divorciaven de la missió amb cautela, temerosos que la seva victòria pogués ser un altre miratge truculent de Jordi. No obstant això, una olor de marisc fresc i paella es deslizava cap a ells, contenint-los la respiració per un moment, mentre somreien de relaxació. Havien arribat.

Ca: Amb aquesta aventura en el seu record, Jordi, Marta i Pere s'asseguraren que mai es deixarien guiar novament per les indicacions tan parlants de Jordi. I també aprengueren que, fins i tot quan els camins són difícils, si ets resilient i tens un bon amic amb el mapa, fins i tot la destinació més difícil pot estar a l'abast.
En: With this adventure in their memory, Jordi, Marta, and Pere made sure they would never again be guided by Jordi's misleading directions.
