In this episode, to shed spotlight on men who are making our communities a better place, especially for women, we introduce a new category in our stories: Man of Wayland. Our first guest in this category is Malcolm Astley. In this nostalgic, stirringly painful, and inspiring conversation, Malcolm talks about his huge grief in the wake of the murder of his teenage daughter Lauren Dunne Astley and also her fond memories. In this riveting conversation, we cover Malcolm’s remarkable advocacy and action for teen violence prevention and healthy relationships. To fill the massive gulf in relationship education for youth, Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund has been working with government as well as private partners to bring awareness and requisite funding to the movement and developed its own workshop called “Loved to Death”.
