Ga: I bhfad i gcéin, in Éirinn draíochta, tá Cloch Bhlarnan lonnaithe, áit a thugann daoine cuairt uirthi chun a bhfuil de sheans maith acu a mhéadú.
En: Far away in magical Ireland, lies the Stone of Blarney, a place people visit to increase their chances.
Ga: Ina measc, tháinig beirt cairde óga, Aoife agus Cillian.
En: Among them, came two young friends, Aoife and Cillian.
Ga: Lá grianmhar a bhí ann, gan scamall sa spéir, agus an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch.
En: It was a sunny day, with no clouds in the sky, and the sun was splitting the stones.
Ga: Shroich Aoife agus Cillian an áit iontach sin, agus bhí sceitimíní ar Aoife.
En: Aoife and Cillian reached that wonderful place, and Aoife was excited.
Ga: Chuala sí scéalta faoi dhraíocht na cloiche agus thug sí neart póga fíorghaireacha di.
En: She heard stories about the magic of the stone and she gave many heartfelt kisses.
Ga: Ach an uair seo, bhain Aoife triail as rud éigin níos faide ná póg simplí.
En: But this time, Aoife tried something more than a simple kiss.
Ga: “Tabhair póg dom, a Chloch Bhlarnan, agus tabhair t-ádh domsa,” arsa sí go croíúil.
En: “Give me a kiss, O Stone of Blarney, and give me luck,” she said earnestly.
Ga: Léim sí chun cinn, a leicne bog ag bualadh an chloch.
En: She leaned forward, her soft cheek touching the stone.
Ga: Ach mo léan Gearr, ní fhéadfaí í a scaoileadh! Bhí Aoife greamaithe don Chloch Bhlarnan!
En: But alas! Alas! She couldn't release it! Aoife was stuck to the Stone of Blarney!
Ga: Gáire a bhí ar aghaidh Cillian.
En: Cillian burst into laughter.
Ga: “Aoife, cén slí ar éirigh tú greamaithe?” ar sé le spraoi ina ghuth.
En: “Aoife, how did you manage to get stuck?” he said jokingly.
Ga: Bhí iontas agus dáiríre ar na turasóirí eile, agus iad ag bailiú timpeall an tsúilín.
En: The other tourists were amazed and serious, gathering around curiously.
Ga: Bhí náire ar Aoife.
En: Aoife felt embarrassed.
Ga: “Níl a fhios agam, ach táim greamaithe go daingean!” arsa sí.
En: “I don't know, but I'm firmly stuck!” she said.
Ga: Chuir na daoine timpeall orthu comhairle chuici ba cheart di léim ar ais, boladh láidir a úsáid nó fiú, an cloch a phiocadh suas.
En: The people around her advised her to jump back, use a strong scent, or even pick up the stone.
Ga: Cillian, ag iarraidh gan a chara a fágáil ina haonar, d’iarr sé ar an slua seasamh siar.
En: Cillian, trying not to leave his friend alone, asked the crowd to step back.
Ga: “Tá bealach ann é seo a shocrú,” a mhaígh sé.
En: “There's a way to solve this,” he claimed.
Ga: Thriail sé cuidiú le Aoife ach bhí sí ró-dhaingean.
En: He tried to help Aoife, but she was too stuck.
Ga: Scaoil gáire amach as an slua.
En: Laughter spread among the crowd.
Ga: Aoife, cé go raibh achrann uirthi ar dtús, thosaigh ag gáire freisin.
En: Aoife, despite her initial quarrel, also began to laugh.
Ga: “Seo ceann don leabhar cuimhní cinn,” a dúirt sí go magúil.
En: “This one is for the memory book,” she said cheekily.
Ga: Bhí na nóiméid ag sleamhnú thart, agus bhí Cillian ag fáil smaointe.
En: Moments passed, and Cillian had some ideas.
Ga: Ghlaodh sé ar an bhfear a bhí ag cúram na háite agus mhínigh an scéal clis.
En: He called the man in charge of the place and explained the tricky situation.
Ga: Tháinig an fear le buicéad uisce agus é líonta le gallúnach.
En: The man came with a bucket of water and filled with wit.
Ga: Chuir sé an t-uisce ar imeall na cloiche, timpeall Aoife.
En: He poured the water on the edge of the stone, around Aoife.
Ga: Agus ansin, le cabhair ó Chillian, a chlaon sí siar go réidh.
En: Then, with help from Cillian, she leaned back smoothly.
Ga: Go mall, a scaoil an Cloch Bhlarnan Aoife saor.
En: Slowly, the Stone of Blarney released Aoife.
Ga: Bhí osna faoisimh ó na turasóirí.
En: There were sighs of relief from the tourists.
Ga: Aoife, a raibh a éadan Dearg le náire ach fós le gáire, d'fhéach ar Chillian.
En: Aoife, her face red with embarrassment but still with laughter, looked at Cillian.
Ga: “Bhuel, sin ceacht agam: bí cúramach leis na póga!”
En: “Well, that's a lesson for me: be careful with the kisses!”
Ga: D’fhág Aoife agus Cillian an áit le cuimhne aoibhinn agus scéal neamhghnách: an lá a ghlac Aoife mór le Cloch Bhlarnan!
En: Aoife and Cillian left the place with a delightful memory and an unusual story: the day Aoife got stuck to the Stone of Blarney!
Ga: Agus, ina dhiaidh sin, d'fhéadfaidís gáire a dhéanamh faoin eachtra, agus a rá le bród go raibh draíocht fíor ag Cloch Bhlarnan.
En: And, after that, they could laugh about the incident and proudly say that the Stone of Blarney had true magic.
