Come meet singer-songwriter Willie Tay who now goes by Wils in The Locher Room. Wils was a rising pop star in Asia with more than 400,000 followers on his Instagram account. After spending some time to film his music videos in California, freely being himself, Wils decided he was tired of hiding his sexuality and told his Asian record label that he is gay. He wanted to live his life openly as a gay man. After that conversation, he was informed him that he was no longer under contract with the record company, and that if he ever wanted to have a career as an Asian pop star he should hide his sexual orientation. Wils tried to log into his Instagram, only to find that his account with those over 400,000 followers had been deleted. Wils dream came to a crashing halt. The label silenced him all because he wanted to live his life as a gay man.

Wils has not given up that dream and is putting all his energy into his music. He's currently living in California and is about to release a pop-EDM album. On June 28th, Wils released Someone Who Loves You, a song he wrote to celebrate PRIDE. Wils is looking forward to hitting the road and performing his new music live in 2021.
