Cs: Bzučení ranní Prahy.
En: The Buzz of Morning in Prague.

Cs: Slunce vstává.
En: The sun rises.

Cs: Jakub šel přes Karlův most.
En: Jakub walked across Charles Bridge.

Cs: Byl klidný, den začal.
En: He was calm; the day had begun.

Cs: Ale něco bylo divné.
En: But something was strange.

Cs: Socha svatého Jana Nepomuckého zmizela.
En: The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk had disappeared.

Cs: Lidé kolem byli zmatení.
En: People around were puzzled.

Cs: Jakub se díval na prázdné místo.
En: Jakub looked at the empty spot.

Cs: Jak se to mohlo stát? Přemýšlel.
En: How could this have happened? he wondered.

Cs: "To je šílené," řekl starý muž vedle něj.
En: "This is crazy," said an old man next to him.

Cs: "Socha tu byla stovky let." Jakub kývl.
En: "The statue has been here for hundreds of years." Jakub nodded.

Cs: Musel to zjistit.
En: He had to find out.

Cs: Jakub se rozhodl hledat.
En: Jakub decided to investigate.

Cs: Šel k menším stánkům na mostě.
En: He went to the smaller stalls on the bridge.

Cs: Prodavači neviděli nic zvláštního.
En: The vendors had seen nothing unusual.

Cs: Ale mlynář pod mostem měl nápad.
En: But the miller under the bridge had an idea.

Cs: "V noci jsem slyšel podivný zvuk," řekl mlynář.
En: "I heard a strange noise at night," the miller said.

Cs: "Někdo mluvil. Pak ticho."
En: "Someone was talking. Then silence."

Cs: Jakub se zamyslel.
En: Jakub pondered.

Cs: Rozhodl se jít do podzemí mostu.
En: He decided to go under the bridge.

Cs: Tam se často skrývají tajemství.
En: Secrets often hide there.

Cs: Bylo tam temno a vlhko.
En: It was dark and damp.

Cs: Viděl stopy.
En: He saw tracks.

Cs: Vedly do starého tunelu.
En: They led to an old tunnel.

Cs: Tunel byl dlouhý.
En: The tunnel was long.

Cs: Jakub šel dál a dál.
En: Jakub kept walking further and further.

Cs: Nakonec došel do velké místnosti.
En: Eventually, he reached a large room.

Cs: A tam byla socha!
En: And there was the statue!

Cs: Nevěřil vlastním očím.
En: He could not believe his eyes.

Cs: Ale nebyl tam sám.
En: But he was not alone.

Cs: Zloděj byl tam také.
En: The thief was there too.

Cs: "Co tu děláš?" zeptal se Jakub.
En: "What are you doing here?" Jakub asked.

Cs: Zloděj byl mladý muž.
En: The thief was a young man.

Cs: Vypadal nervózně.
En: He looked nervous.

Cs: "Potřeboval jsem peníze," řekl zloděj.
En: "I needed money," the thief said.

Cs: "Ale už toho lituji." Jakub ho chápal.
En: "But I already regret it." Jakub understood him.

Cs: "Pomůžu ti," řekl Jakub.
En: "I'll help you," Jakub said.

Cs: "Vrátíme sochu."
En: "We'll return the statue."

Cs: Společně přenesli sochu zpět na most.
En: Together, they carried the statue back to the bridge.

Cs: Bylo to těžké, ale zvládli to.
En: It was difficult, but they managed.

Cs: Lidé se radovali.
En: People rejoiced.

Cs: Socha byla zpět na svém místě.
En: The statue was back in its place.

Cs: Zloděj slíbil, že nikdy víc neudělá něco takového.
En: The thief promised never to do anything like that again.

Cs: A Jakub byl rád, že pomohl.
En: And Jakub was glad he helped.

Cs: Slunce znovu vyšlo a vše bylo v pořádku.
En: The sun rose again, and everything was alright.

Cs: Praha měla svou sochu a Jakub měl dobrý pocit.
En: Prague had its statue back, and Jakub had a good feeling.

Cs: Byl hrdina.
En: He was a hero.

Cs: A tak příběh končí.
