Lajuan Stephens (born August 1, 1989), better known as Obi J, is an American hip hop musician. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Obi began performing his sophomore year in high school with a group called P.H.B (Presidential Hood Boyz). During this time Obi’s biggest inspiration was 2pac (All eyes on me) and the Houston chopped and screwed era. In 2007 the group P.H.B quickly became a success and was connected to an A&R from TVT Records, but the deal quickly fell apart when the label filed for bankruptcy in 2008.
