Hello, I'm Gail Nobles and this is Postgirl's Recordings. The meaning of songs and Happy New Year. It's 2020. I'm thinking of George Harrison today. If you're sick in pain or whatever the problem may be, I know you know the meaning of these words from this song.
Oh my Lord
My sweet Lord
And maybe you moan
Hmmmm my Lord
I really want to see you. I really want to be with you.
I really want to see you Lord, but it takes so long my Lord....
So the podcast for today is George Harrison, "My Sweet Lord".

Sometimes we are so in a hurry.
(Sing)
You got the idea. We can't rush the Sweet Lord, But he's always there. We wait on him but sometimes he waits on us. He wants our patience. The Lord wants our trust in him and our faith. We hurt, cry, and moan. (sing)....
Alright alright...anyway..

The song was released in Nov. 1970 on his triple album, All Things Must Pass. It was also released as a single, Harrison's first as a solo artist and top charts worldwide. It was the biggest selling single of 1970 in the UK. In America and Britain, the song was the first number one single by an ex-Beatle. George Harrison was one of the Beatles. Harrison originally gave the song to his fellow Apple Recordsartist Billy Preston to record, and it appeared on Preston's Encouraging Words album in September 1970. George Harrison. My Sweet Lord. That’s the topic for the podcast today.
