Cs: Pršelo.
En: It was raining.

Cs: Mokré kameny na Staroměstském náměstí leskly se ve světle pouličních lamp.
En: The wet stones on the Old Town Square glistened in the light of the street lamps.

Cs: Jakub a Petra stáli pod malým přístřeškem.
En: Jakub and Petra stood under a small shelter.

Cs: Pracovali zde jako průvodci.
En: They worked here as tour guides.

Cs: Petra se schovala pod deštník a Jakub držel v ruce mapu.
En: Petra hid under an umbrella, and Jakub held a map in his hand.

Cs: "Jakube, skupina turistů už čeká," řekla Petra.
En: "Jakub, the group of tourists is already waiting," Petra said.

Cs: Ukázala směrem ke skupince lidí se žlutými pláštěnkami.
En: She pointed towards a group of people in yellow raincoats.

Cs: "Já vím, Petro," odpověděl Jakub a obrátil mapu.
En: "I know, Petra," Jakub replied and turned the map.

Cs: "Začneme u Staroměstské radnice."
En: "We'll start at the Old Town Hall."

Cs: Turisté se sešli kolem Jakuba a Petry.
En: The tourists gathered around Jakub and Petra.

Cs: Jakub začal vysvětlovat historii města.
En: Jakub began explaining the history of the city.

Cs: "Tady vidíte Staroměstskou radnici s orlojem.
En: "Here you see the Old Town Hall with its astronomical clock.

Cs: Je starý a krásný.
En: It is old and beautiful.

Cs: Každou hodinu zde vystupují dřevěné figurky."

En: "How about the café on the corner?" Petra suggested.

Cs: Všichni souhlasili.
En: Everyone agreed.

Cs: Skupina se přemístila do teplé kavárny.
En: The group moved to the warm café.

Cs: Turisté byli rádi za čaj a kávu.
En: The tourists were happy for tea and coffee.

Cs: Atmosféra byla příjemná.
En: The atmosphere was pleasant.

Cs: Jakub a Petra pokračovali ve výkladu historie vánočních trhů, které budou brzy na náměstí.
En: Jakub and Petra continued with the history of the Christmas markets, which would soon be in the square.

Cs: "Trhy jsou úžasné," řekla Petra.
En: "The markets are wonderful," Petra said.

Cs: "Stromy, světla, hudba... Je to kouzelné."
En: "Trees, lights, music... It's magical."
