This week we go under water once again as we dive into the life of our guest, Michael Barnette. Michael has been actively diving and researching shipwrecks since 1990. His research and exploration has resulted in teh identification of over 30 wreck sites. Barnette is the founder of his group, the Association of Underwater Explorers, that was founded in 1996. Among many of his accomplishments over the years, several stood out to us. The recovery of a B-25 bomber from Lake Murray in 2005 as well as his involvement in the expedition to the HNHS Brittanica in 2006 that was documented by the History Channel. Barnette's exploratio of the Bermuda Triangle and particularly the search for the remnants of Flight 19 have also made its way to television through a partnership with the History Channel. As recent as 2022, Barnette was also involved in a dive in the area of the Bermuda Triangle and discovered parts of the Challenger space shuttle.
