Cs: Sluníčko vysoko na obloze svítilo přes listy vysokých stromů v Národním parku Šumava.
En: The sun high in the sky shone through the leaves of tall trees in the Šumava National Park.

Cs: Ladislav, tichý geolog, a Miroslava, energická historička, se procházeli hustým lesem s jasným cílem.
En: Ladislav, a quiet geologist, and Miroslava, an energetic historian, strolled through the dense forest with a clear goal.

Cs: Ladislav hledal vzácnou geologickou formaci, o které četl v jedné staré knize.
En: Ladislav was searching for a rare geological formation he had read about in an old book.

Cs: Miroslava zas chtěla objevit prastaré místo, o němž slyšela pověsti.
En: Miroslava, on the other hand, wanted to discover an ancient site she had heard legends about.

Cs: Byl horký letní den.
En: It was a hot summer day.

Cs: Ladislav a Miroslava procházeli zarostlými stezkami a naslouchali ptačímu zpěvu.
En: Ladislav and Miroslava were walking through overgrown paths, listening to the birds' songs.

Cs: Ladislav se zastavil a řekl: "Přes tady by měla být zkratka.
En: Ladislav stopped and said, "There should be a shortcut through here.

Cs: Místo je blízko."
En: The site is close."

Cs: Miroslava se zamračila.
En: Miroslava frowned.

Cs: "Ale značená stezka je tudy.
En: "But the marked trail goes this way.

Cs: Už jsme skoro tam," namítla.
En: We're almost there," she argued.

Cs: Ladislav byl odhodlaný.
En: Ladislav was determined.

Cs: "Pojď, ušetříme čas," pravil a odbočil z cesty.
En: "Come on, we'll save time," he said and veered off the path.

Cs: Miroslava váhala, ale nakonec se ho rozhodla následovat.
En: Miroslava hesitated but ultimately decided to follow him.

Cs: Cestou se terén stáčel strmě klesat dolů.
En: The terrain began to slope steeply downward.

Cs: Kořeny stromů a husté keře je zpomalovaly.
En: Tree roots and dense bushes slowed them down.

Cs: Poté uviděli, co hledali.
En: Then they saw what they were looking for.

Cs: Před nimi se tyčila skrytá jeskyně obrostlá mechem.
En: In front of them loomed a hidden cave covered in moss.

Cs: "Tohle je ona!
En: "This is it!

Cs: Ta formace," zvolal nadšený Ladislav.
En: The formation," exclaimed an excited Ladislav.

Cs: Miroslava s úžasem koukala na skály i okolí jeskyně.
En: Miroslava gazed at the rocks and the surroundings of the cave in astonishment.

Cs: "Myslím, že tohle je taky část prastarého místa, o kterém jsem četla," řekla.
En: "I think this is also part of the ancient site I've read about," she said.

Cs: Ale jeskyně vypadala temně a nebezpečně.
En: But the cave looked dark and dangerous.

Cs: "Co když je tam nebezpečno?"
En: "What if it's unsafe?"

Cs: přemýšlela nahlas Miroslava.
En: Miroslava wondered aloud.

Cs: Ladislav se nadechl.
En: Ladislav took a deep breath.

Cs: "Musíme to risknout.
En: "We have to take the risk.

Cs: Najdeme tu, co hledáme," řekl rozhodně.
En: We will find what we are looking for," he said decisively.

Cs: Vstoupili dovnitř pomalu a opatrně.
En: They entered the cave slowly and cautiously.

Cs: V jeskyni našli vzácné minerály, které Ladislav chtěl vidět.
En: Inside, they found rare minerals that Ladislav wanted to see.

Cs: A mezi nimi i historické artefakty, které Miroslava hledala.
En: And among them, historical artifacts that Miroslava was searching for.

Cs: Uvědomili si, že jejich společná práce přináší ovoce, která by jednotlivě nenašli.
En: They realized that their combined work yielded results they wouldn't have found individually.
