Ga: Bhí a cuid gruaige bhí faid síneadh ag focalchomait ag séideadh sa ghaoth, agus a bróga clúdaithe le láib ó thurais roimhe seo.
En: Her long hair flew in the wind, and her shoes were covered in mud from previous trips.

Ga: Cillian, áfach, bhí difriúil.
En: Cillian, however, was different.

Ga: Ba é treoraí turas a bhí ann.
En: He was a tour guide.

Ga: Bhí sé ag brath go mór ar na turasóirí a tháinig sa samhradh.
En: He relied greatly on the tourists who came in the summer.

Ga: Bhí sé cúramach an draíocht a thaispeáint de na hAillte do gach aon turasóir a tháinig leis.
En: He was careful to show the magic of the Cliffs to every tourist who came with him.

Ga: D’fhéach sé amach ón imeall, a bhearta ar aghaidh, smaointe ag fás ina intinn maidir le hathruithe a d’fhéadfadh é cur as.
En: He looked out from the edge, leaning forward, thoughts growing in his mind about possible changes that might unsettle him.

Ga: Nuair a tháinig Aisling ar ais chun tí, thosaigh sí ag plé go dian le Cillian.
En: When Aisling came back home, she started to argue intensely with Cillian.

Ga: "Bhfuil tú dall ar an damáiste?" a dúirt sí, an teannas ag ardú.
En: "Are you blind to the damage?" she said, tension rising.

Ga: "Caithfimid slite nua a aimsiú le turasóireacht inbhuanaithe a chur chun cinn."
En: "We must find new ways to promote sustainable tourism."

Ga: Ach níor chreid Cillian é.
En: But Cillian didn’t believe her.

Ga: “Cad mar gheall orainn a bhfuil mar bhean seaicéid sin?” a fhreagair sé, a ghuth níos ísle.
En: “What about those of us who depend on this?” he replied, his voice lower.

Ga: "Caithfidh muid maireachtáil, Aisling."
En: "We need to survive, Aisling."

En: Niamh was watching them, keeping her pen and notebook ready.

Ga: Bhí a fhios aici go raibh cinneadh le déanamh aici.
En: She knew she had a decision to make.

Ga: An mbeadh an scéal thrilling a thiomsódh léitheoirí ar an gcaoi a raibh an cogadh seo ag dul i rith na haillte nó an scéal cothrom a léirigh an chomhchuibheas idir leas an gheilleagair agus an phróiseas cosanta?
En: Would the story that thrilled readers be about this conflict playing out at the cliffs, or the balanced story that showed the harmony between economic interests and conservation efforts?

Ga: Sa deireadh, scríobh Niamh alt cothrom.
En: In the end, Niamh wrote a balanced article.

Ga: Scríobh sí faoi thábhacht na caomhnóireachta, ach thug sí aird freisin ar an mbuntáiste geilleagrach a thugann turasóireacht don cheantar.
En: She wrote about the importance of conservation but also highlighted the economic benefits tourism brought to the area.

Ga: Nuair a foilsíodh an t-alt, thosaigh daoine áitiúla ag suim sa mhéid a dúirt Aisling.
En: When the article was published, local people started taking an interest in what Aisling had said.

Ga: Tháinig tacaíocht dáistíany go tobann ón bpobal, lena n-áirítear Cillian féin, a thosaigh ag tuiscint gur chosain turasóireacht inbhuanaithe a chuid leas féin freisin.
En: Support suddenly came from the community, including from Cillian himself, who started to understand that sustainable tourism also protected his own interests.

Ga: D'fhoghlaim Aisling turasóireacht a chur san áireamh ina pleananna.
En: Aisling learned to include tourism in her plans.

Ga: D'éirigh Cillian mar abhcóide le haghaidh turasóireacht inbhuanaithe, ag tuiscint go dtabharfadh sé cosaint fadtéarmach dó féin agus dá shaol.
En: Cillian became an advocate for sustainable tourism, realizing it would offer long-term protection for him and his livelihood.

En: Departing from the edge, the Cliffs remained safe, thanks to the newfound unity between Aisling and Cillian.

Ga: Mhothaigh Niamh, i lár an aingil, sásta go raibh sí tar éis rud tábhachtach a scríobh a chuir le tuiscint mhór ar chothromaíocht líomhaintí turasóireachta.
