Uk: У Львові завжди своєрідно святкують Маланку.
En: In Lviv, Malanka is always celebrated uniquely.

Uk: Чому ще б наш кольоровий, шумний та життєрадісний місто не мало власну традицію?
En: Why wouldn't our colorful, lively, and cheerful city have its own tradition?

Uk: Ось таку історію я хотів би вам розповісти.
En: Here is the story I would like to tell you.

Uk: Ім'я героям наших - Іван, Катерина та Олександр.
En: The heroes of our story are Ivan, Katerina, and Oleksandr.

Uk: Час до Маланки минає.
En: The time leading up to Malanka passes by.

Uk: І οт цей день н настав.
En: And now that day has arrived.

Uk: Іван сьοгодн і задумав справишній переполοх.
En: Today, Ivan decided to make a real commotion.

Uk: Захoпившись, купuв на швидку два кoстюми - кіт-карапуха та дівчина-снігурка.
En: Excitedly, he bought two costumes in a hurry - a cat and a snow maiden.

Uk: Вилущивши їх із пакету, полігав на дивані, дивлячись на святкове телевізійне шоу.
En: Taking them out of the package, he lay them on the couch, watching a festive TV show.

Uk: На домовленість друзі прибули.
En: As agreed, friends arrived.

Uk: Катерина, прострелюючи костюми оцінно, вибрала дівчину-снігурку, заміряла його, але на ній костюм сидів важко.
En: Katerina, carefully examining the costumes, chose the snow maiden, tried it on, but the costume didn't fit her well.

Uk: Катерина обігнула очима кімнату.
En: Katerina looked around the room.

Uk: Іван лежав на дивані, заплющивши очі.
En: Ivan was lying on the couch with his eyes closed.

Uk: Подумавши, вона зайшла в спальню та натягнула костюм кота.
En: After some thought, she went into the bedroom and put on the cat costume.

Uk: Це було цікаве відчуття.
En: It was an interesting feeling.

Uk: Заходив Олександр.
En: Oleksandr entered.

Uk: Він теж хотів переодягнутись , але на полі знаходив лише дівчачий костюм.
En: He also wanted to change into a costume, but there was only a girl's costume left on the floor.

Uk: Ненароком закинувши очима на вікно, побачив розкішний сніг, що падав на вулицях старого міста.
En: Accidentally glancing out of the window, he saw the beautiful snow falling on the streets of the old city.

Uk: Схопивши костюм, він швидко одягнув його.
En: Grabbing the costume, he quickly put it on.

Uk: Львів святкує.
En: Lviv is celebrating.

Uk: Вони з'явились на майдані, барвистому, сяючому вогнями.
En: They appeared in the square, colorful, shining with lights.

Uk: Люди танцювали, сміялись, гуляли.
En: People were dancing, laughing, having fun.

Uk: Наших героїв побачили.
En: Our heroes were seen.

Uk: Спочатку здивувались, дивуючись на дівчину кота та хлопця, коїй саме надівали корону снігурки.
En: At first, they were surprised, looking at the girl dressed as a cat and the boy wearing a snow maiden's crown.

Uk: Іван, прокинувшись і знайшовши костюми порожніми, розуміє, що план не спрацював.
En: When Ivan woke up and found the costumes empty, he realized his plan didn't work out.

Uk: Почуваючи себе обманутим, виходить на вулицю, де усміхається, гарно одягнена у кота Катерина та блискучий у костюмі снігурки Олександр.
En: Feeling deceived, he went out on the street, where he saw Katerina looking good in the cat costume and Oleksandr shining in the snow maiden costume.

Uk: Він зрозумів, що його друзі побачили його задум та переіграли його.
En: He understood that his friends saw through his plan and outplayed him.

Uk: Іван не злий, він сміється та теж приєднується до свята.
En: Ivan wasn't angry; he laughed and joined the celebration too.

Uk: Усі раді, усі веселяться, бо таке лише в Львові - щоб Маланка настільки кумедна та яскрава, і щоб кожна хвилина цього свята ставала виключно українською.
En: Everyone was happy, everyone was having fun, because only in Lviv could Malanka be so funny and colorful, and where every minute of this holiday becomes purely Ukrainian.

Uk: Така ось Різдвяна казка з незвичними образами та кумедним фіналом.
En: This is a Christmas tale with unusual characters and a funny ending.

Uk: Адже головне в свято – це гарний настрій та щира радість, не так ли?
En: After all, the main thing in a holiday is a good mood and genuine joy, isn't it?
