Uk: Львів, широкі мощені вулиці і стук кованих бруківок під каблуками поспішаючих пройти. Запахи кави, шоколаду і свіжої випічки. Саме таку картину бачили Оксана, Ігор і Ярослава, гуляючи серед могутніх старих будинків та поряд з водою забарвлених у вечірньому небі фонтанів.
En: Lviv, wide cobblestone streets and the clatter of forged paving stones under the hurried heels of passers-by. The smells of coffee, chocolate, and freshly baked goods. This is exactly what Oksana, Igor, and Yaroslava saw as they walked among the mighty old buildings and next to the water colored by evening sky fountains.

Uk: На розі вулиць Вірменської та Братів Рогатинців вони зупинились біля ресторану "Бачевські". Історичний заклад, надвечірній сяйво вітрин сліплював прямо в очі. Вони не вагаючись увійшли до середини.
En: At the corner of Virmenska and Brativ Rohatynciv streets, they stopped near the restaurant "Bachevski." It was a historic establishment, the evening glow of its display windows blindingly bright. Without hesitation, they entered.

Uk: Друзі сіли на м'які дерев'яні стільці в підсвітленому кутку. "Така атмосфера захоплює," зітхнула Оксана, розглядаючи стародавні картини на стінах. Замовили новий сорт кави, пончики та, звісно, вареники. Львів без вареників? Не те що неможливо, але і немислимо!
En: The friends sat on soft wooden chairs in an illuminated corner. "Such an atmosphere captivates," sighed Oksana, admiring the ancient paintings on the walls. They ordered a new type of coffee, donuts, and, of course, dumplings. Lviv without dumplings? Not impossible, but unthinkable!

Uk: "Сто вареників, будь ласка," сказала Ярослава офіціанту, сміючись. Вона хотіла сказати десять, але помилилась. Вони захихотали, коли офіціант підніс брову, але не виправили її.
En: "A hundred dumplings, please," Yaroslava said to the waiter, laughing. She meant to say ten, but made a mistake. They chuckled when the waiter raised an eyebrow but didn't correct her.

Uk: Коли до столу потяглись довгі ланцюжки замовлень, одні за одними, аромат розсіювався по всьому ресторану. Це була гора вареників - з бринзою, з м'ясом, з вишнями, з маком.
En: As the long chain of orders reached the table one after another, the aroma spread throughout the restaurant. It was a mountain of dumplings – with cheese, meat, cherries, and poppy seeds.

Uk: Троє друзів подивились один на одного, а потім на відра вареників на столі. Вони розсміялись, проте це вже не було так смішно. Вони знали, що мають з'їсти все, щоб не образити господарів.
En: The three friends looked at each other, then at the buckets of dumplings on the table. They laughed, but it wasn't as funny anymore. They knew they had to eat it all to avoid offending the hosts.

En: Solemnly, with closed eyes, Igor ate the last dumpling. It was small, with cherries. And that was the finale of their battle with dumplings, the end of their crazy evening. They gazed at empty plates and laughed, tired but happy.

Uk: Чи б вони повторили цей вечір знову? Можливо, ні. Але чи б вони його забули? Безумовно, ні. Дружба, гумор та подолання випробувань - ось що цей вечір дав їм, більше ніж сто вареників.
