Story Transcript:
En: On the streets of Copenhagen, there was a man named Lars. Lars lived in Nørrebro and every day he cycled to work in the rain.
Da: Det var ikke en almindelig dag. Det regnede kraftigere end normalt. Men Lars elskede regn.
En: It was not an ordinary day. It was raining harder than usual. But Lars loved the rain. He always said he liked the smell of the wet earth, the sound of raindrops on his umbrella, and the sight of the sky filled with gray clouds.
He opened it, secured it in the front basket of his bike, and began his journey through the wet Copenhagen. He cycled north, crossed Nørrebrogade, and turned right at the lakes.
En: But suddenly, in the middle of Dronning Louises Bro, his umbrella flew away with the wind. Lars tried to retrieve it, but it had already flown far away.
Da: Nu var Lars våd og kold. Han hadede at være våd og kold. Men han var ikke sur. Han vidste, at han skulle klare det. Han fortsatte sin rejse.
En: Now Lars was wet and cold. He hated being wet and cold. But he wasn't angry. He knew he would get through it. He continued his journey.
En: At the office, everyone was surprised. "How can you cycle in the rain without an umbrella?" they asked. But Lars just answered with a smile, "I love the rain."
En: After work, on the way home, Lars found a new umbrella on the road. It was a blue umbrella, larger and better than the yellow one. Now Lars was happy again. He could now cycle home in the rain with his newfound umbrella.
En: This is the story of Lars, the man who cycled in the rain with an umbrella. A simple man with a simple joy. Even after losing his umbrella, Lars never lost his love for the rain. Instead, he found a new and better umbrella and continued his journey.
Da: Husk altid Lars. Vær som Lars. Vær aldrig bange for udfordringer.
Be like Lars. Never be afraid of challenges. Always hold your head up high and fight against the storm, even if you are wet and cold. And always be open to new opportunities, even if you lose something you love; for there is always something better waiting for you on the other side.
