The group was founded in 1987. Hall’s younger brother Damion replaced Gatling after the recording of the group’s self-titled debut album. The group released their debut album which went on to sell over a million copies and was certified double platinum.

I remember Aaron Hall as lead vocalist on songs like “Groove Me”, “I Like”, and Piece of My Love”. His vocal style and ability were influenced on other artists like R Kelly. A lot of people talk about R Kelly and say that he stole Aaron’s style. However, when I listen to Aaron and R Kelly, I can hear the difference between the two.

I’d like to talk more about Guy’s debut album released in 1988. My favorite dance song from the album is “Teddy’s Jam”. It’s a great instrumental. It’s the third single released on the self-titled album, Guy.

Another song that I like from the album is “I Like” It was the fourth single released on the album. The song peaked at number seventy on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. There was just something about the sound of the music played in that song. I love the sound of the keyboard played at the beginning.
