When I listened to Blue Ox recently, I was immediately struck by the precision of their sound. Sure, they're heavy and have that hardcore sound most seek out, but there was something hidden in the mix that wasn't readily noticeable unless you're a nerd like me and you seek it out. There is a bass tone that is absolutely. OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Luke Olson is the owner of that bass tone and a member of this wonderfully heavy Minneapolis based hardcore metal band.

In May of this year, Blue Ox released their first album in 10 years, the stunning HOLY VORE, which speaks volumes to the band's direction and intent.

Talking to Luke, I was excited to hear that the band isn't giving up any time soon and might even make it out onto the festival circuit in the next year, so we have something wonderful to look forward to. If you're like me, this is incredible news.
