It: "Giuseppe rimase senza parole.
En: Giuseppe was speechless.
En: He had only wanted to share the moment with his best friends, not ruin Sofia's day.

It: Le scarpe nuove passano, ma i ricordi restano.
En: New shoes come and go, but memories remain."
It: "Giuseppe lo guardò, sorpreso.
En: Giuseppe looked at him, surprised.
En: Then, slowly, he took a handkerchief out of his pocket and knelt in front of Sofia.
En: With gentleness, he began to clean Sofia's shoes from the pistachio ice cream.
It: "Mi dispiace, Sofia" disse, con voce dolce.
En: "I'm sorry, Sofia," he said, in a sweet voice.
En: Sofia looked at him, her gaze still creased with anger.
It: Poi guardò Luca e sospirò.
En: Then she looked at Luca and sighed.
It: "Hai ragione, Luca.
En: "You're right, Luca.
En: This is a memory I'll never forget.
En: But Giuseppe," she continued, "next time you eat an ice cream, stay away from my shoes."
En: With that, all three burst into laughter.
En: The square was once again filled with music, and they, in the midst of it all, laughed at the chaos of life.
It: Sofia guardò le sue scarpe, ormai sporche, e rise.
En: Sofia looked at her now dirty shoes and laughed.
It: "Un segno di un giorno indimenticabile, dopotutto.
En: "A sign of an unforgettable day, after all."
En: And so, the square continued to fill with laughter and music, with fallen ice creams and clean shoes.
