Story Transcript:
En: It was a morning like any other in Zagreb.
En: The sun had already begun to shine its first rays over the city as the trams started transporting tired faces to work.
En: Ivan, Ana, and Mateo were three friends who rode the same tram to the university every day.
Hr: Ivan je uvijek kasnio.
En: Ivan was always late.
En: And this morning, he was running towards the tram as the doors were slowly closing.
En: Ana and Mateo were already inside, nervously waiting for him.
Hr: "Ivane, brže!
En: "Ivan, hurry up!"
Hr: " viknula je Ana, mahajući rukama.
En: Ana shouted, waving her arms.
Hr: "Trči!
En: "Run!"
Hr: "U posljednjem trenutku Ivan je ubacio nogu između vrata tramvaja, no nije uspio proći kroz njih.
En: At the last moment, Ivan managed to stick his foot in between the tram doors, but he didn't succeed in passing through them.
En: The doors closed, and Ivan's foot got stuck.
En: The tram started moving, and Ivan began to be dragged along the street.
Hr: Ana i Mateo brzo su reagirali.
En: Ana and Mateo reacted quickly.
En: Mateo pushed the emergency button to stop the tram, while Ana approached Ivan, trying to calm him down.
Hr: Ljudi oko njih su počeli vikati i dozivati pomoć, a vozač tramvaja je napokon zaustavio vozilo.
En: People around them started shouting and calling for help, and the tram driver finally stopped the vehicle.
En: Several passengers rushed to help, along with Ana and Mateo, and slowly freed Ivan's leg.
Hr: Na njegovu sreću, Ivan nije bio ozbiljno povrijeđen, samo malo izgreban i prestrašen.
En: Fortunately, Ivan wasn't seriously injured, just a little scraped and frightened.
En: The paramedics checked Ivan's condition at the scene and confirmed that he was okay.
En: After the incident, the trio sat on a bench near the tram stop.
En: "Well, now you'll at least remember not to run after the tram," said Ana with a slight laughter in her voice.
En: "Or at least count on us having an emergency button!"
Hr: "Ivan se nasmijao.
En: Ivan laughed.
Hr: "Hvala vam, dečki.
En: "Thank you, guys.
Hr: Bez vas bih bio izgubljen.
En: I would have been lost without you."
Hr: " Mateo se našalio: "Sljedeći put ti vežemo jastuke oko nogu, za svaki slučaj.
En: Mateo joked, "Next time we'll tie pillows around your legs, just in case."
Hr: "Nakon nekog vremena Ivan, Ana i Mateo su se nasmijali cijeloj situaciji.
En: After some time, Ivan, Ana, and Mateo laughed about the whole situation.
En: They learned an important lesson about safety and how friends always look out for each other.
En: And although it was a day remembered for Ivan's mishap, it was also a day that strengthened their friendship.
En: The next day, they all arrived at the station a little earlier.
En: Leading from his experience, Ivan was the first to board the tram, this time without any rush.
Hr: Prijateljstvo i smijeh su i dalje odzvanjali dok su gradom prolazili novim putovanjem, ovoga puta bez ikakvih nezgoda.
En: Friendship and laughter continued to resonate as they traversed the city on a new journey, this time without any mishaps.
