And today’s topic is Troy Escalade Jackson. He was close to 500Ib and 6 foot 9.He was the brother of Mark Jackson who was in the NBA. His name is Troy Escalade Jackson. Someone with his size playing basketball was incredible. Troy could move like a skinny man and make a ball pass all around you. He had all different kind o passes. He could bounce the ball over your head, and he could slam dunk. Troy was an amazing basketball playing giant. He is a street ball legend that passed away too soon. His cause of death was hypertensive heart disease on Feb. 20, 2011 at 38 years of age.
Troy would talk in interviews.
“Escalade is some bad stuff. … You just got hit by a truck…. You just got ran over by a brand new Escalade. That was it. I was born. I was too big. Bam!” ___ Troy Escalade Jackson
Troy’s accomplishments in Community College led to a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville, though the school demanded that he lose weight. Jackson had slimmed down to about 363 pounds. Jackson only played twenty games for Louisville over two years, averaging 3.0 points per game and 1.6 rebounds per game in a reverse role. However, he became well-known to basketball fans through the AND1 Mixtape Tour, a traveling streetball exhibition which he joined in 2002.
Troy Escalade Jackson. A giant incredible streetball legend. I’m Gail Nobles. Goodbye friends.
