Story Transcript:

Uk: Львівські вулиці пахнули кавою.
En: The streets of Lviv smelled of coffee.

Uk: Десь в глибині натовпу, серед мурів кам'яних будинків, поховалося невеличке кафе "Атляс".
En: Somewhere deep in the crowd, among the walls of stone buildings, a small café "Atlas" was hidden.

Uk: Тут надзвичайно було затишно, а запах кави та шоколаду вирував у повітрі, загострюючи апетит та допалюючи чуття.
En: It was exceptionally cozy here, and the aroma of coffee and chocolate filled the air, sharpening the appetite and kindling the senses.

Uk: Оксана та Іван, двоє старих друзів, обирали саме це місце, щоб провести спокійний вечір.
En: Oksana and Ivan, two old friends, chose this place to spend a peaceful evening.

Uk: Вони сиділи за одним з круглих столиків біля вікна, спостерігаючи, як вечірній Львів набирає колорів.
En: They sat at one of the round tables by the window, watching as the evening Lviv filled with colors.

Uk: За сусіднім столиком розпалювалася справжня пробираюча до кісток суперечка.
En: At the neighboring table, a real bone-chilling argument broke out.

Uk: Жінка в червоній сукні гучно кричала, а чоловік в смокінгу відповідав їй з кислою виразою обличчя.
En: The woman in a red dress was shouting loudly, and the man in a tuxedo responded to her with a sour expression on his face.

Uk: Оксана і Іван вдали, що нічого не чують, але їхні обличчя були напружені.
En: Oksana and Ivan pretended not to hear anything, but their faces were tense.

Uk: Обмінюючись знаками, вони спрямували погляди на своє кавове замовлення.
En: Exchanging glances, they focused on their coffee order.

Uk: Суперечка продовжувалася, але Оксана і Іван намагались зосередитися на своїх розмовах.

En: They talked about various things - from new books and movies to summer plans.

En: But the quiet, calm atmosphere had disappeared.

Uk: Два друзі почувалися збентеженими.
En: The two friends felt disturbed.

Uk: Чекаючи, коли припиниться шум, вони продовжували свою розмову, але голоси вони вже навіть і не чули.
En: Waiting for the noise to stop, they continued their conversation, but they couldn't even hear each other anymore.

Uk: І ось, нарешті, червона жінка гучно вдарила долонею по столу, від чого розлетілась кава, і різко вийшла, а чоловік лишився стояти з збитим виразом обличчя.
En: And finally, the red woman slammed her palm loudly on the table, causing the coffee to spill, and abruptly left, leaving the man standing with a bewildered expression on his face.

Uk: Коли двері зачинилися за червоною жінкою, в кафе запанувала тиша.
En: When the door closed behind the red woman, silence descended in the café.

Uk: Оксана та Іван нарешті взяли горнятка кави.
En: Oksana and Ivan finally picked up their coffee cups.

Uk: Від їхніх губ скотився звільнений сміх.
En: Laughter escaped from their lips.

Uk: Вони знову стали собою, і розмова пливла рікою без перешкод.
En: They were themselves again, and the conversation flowed freely.

Uk: Надворі вже підсвічувалися вогні вітрин.
En: Outside, the lights in the shop windows were already twinkling.

Uk: Вони поглянули одне на одного і покивали головами.
En: They looked at each other and nodded.

Uk: Цей вечір був незабутнім.
En: This evening was unforgettable.

Uk: Хоча збурхливий епізод за сусіднім столиком на мить збив їх із толку, вони знайшли у цьому своєрідний humor.
En: Although the turbulent episode at the neighboring table momentarily threw them off, they found a kind of humor in it.

Uk: Вони попрощались в кафе "Атляс" , побажали всього найкращого одне одному та відмінного вечора, а Львів поволі втягував їх у свої мережі нічних вуличок.
