Her research is deeply influenced by her work with refugee and migrant populations and her involvement in feminist, anti-poverty, and immigrant rights campaigns. As a critical education scholar, she delves into Marxist feminist theories, politics of the not-for-profit sector, and Marxist and feminist critical pedagogies. She has authored and edited several works, including "Revolutionary Learning: Marxism, Feminism, & Knowledge" and "Youth in/as Crisis: Young People, Public Policy, and the Politics of Learning.
