Dr. Cindy Hanson is a Professor at the University of Regina, specializing in gender, intersectionality, Indigenous rights, and community-based research. She has lead 3 research projects funded by SSHRC, one on intergenerational learning in Indigenous textile arts, one focusing on Indian residential school compensations and a third, looking at transportation vulnerabilities in rural Canada. Dr. Hanson has held consultancies in over 15 countries and has published works like "Cracking Labour’s Glass Ceiling." She's a past-president of CASAE and has worked with various UN agencies.

Dr. Robert McGray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at Brock University. He is renowned for his research on the intersection of social theory and critical public pedagogy. Over the years, his scholarly contributions have earned him numerous awards and recognitions, including funding from SSHRC. Dr. McGray has held esteemed positions such as an Associate Editor for The Canadian Journal for the Study of Adult Education and the President of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education. His current research delves into the effects of debt and austerity agendas on learners and community educators' use of social media tools to combat hate speech. Dr. McGray's academic journey has taken him across various regions, including the West Indies, Alberta, Quebec, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. He holds a PhD from the University of Alberta in Theoretical, Cultural, and International Studies in Education, a Master of Arts in Education from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Adult Education from Dalhousie University.
