    5 NOV. 2021 · In this episode of the Black Power Revisited Podcast, Cliff Albright is joined by activist and visionary Benjamin Dixon, host of Like It Or Not, On The Clock, and the all-encompassing streaming morning show The Benjamin Dixon Show and podcast of the same name. Benjamin discusses his upbringing in the American south, the Black church, and organizing by extension. Describing his father's role as a preacher in the southeast of the United States, and work organizing boycotts in Mississippi, Benjamin spoke of his earliest memories observing and working with his father and the trajectory it put him on. He spoke about how Black Power translates into real change in the real lives of real people. Cliff and Ben also discussed recent events in American politics dating from the 2010's until now, voting rights and the filibuster. They also discuss the impact of Donald Trump and the campaigns of Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

Brittany discusses her upbringing and how she was born into organizing. Describing her parents' backgrounds, she spoke of how the seeds of organizing and activism were planted early in her life. Brittany shared experiences of protests in her childhood and lessons she's learned from elders. They discussed the city of New Orleans and the politics and culture that came out of it. Brittany also spoke on the history of Black power, the challenges faced today, and the shared commonalities with other marginalized communities.

    22 OCT. 2021 · In this episode of the Black Power Revisited Podcast, Cliff Albright is joined by Congressman Jamaal Bowman, the United States Representative for New York's 16th District. A former middle school principal and educator, Congressman Bowman spoke with Cliff about childhood experiences, and how hip-hop music planted the seeds for his social justice and racial justice work and advocacy. They discussed Rep. Bowman's experience as an educator and working with his students and community and what led him to run for political office. The Congressman spoke of what Black power means in the everyday lives of people and their community, as well as what it looks like in the halls of Congress. Cliff and Representative Bowman also discussed current examples showing we're building Black power and what he's working to change in our communities in the immediate future.

She is the author of Stae of Emergency and co-host of the Street Politicians podcast. Tamika spoke with Cliff about how her upbringing equipped her with the skills to take on movement building. They also discussed defunding police, reimaging public safety, and how communities build Black power. Tamika previously served as the youngest ever Executive Director of the National Action Network and was a co-chair of the 2017 Women's March on Washington.

Rashad spoke with Cliff about his familial background, early start in organizing, and his education. They discussed the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the inception of Color of Change, as well as how their organization carries out its mission. Rashad was a member of the inaugural cohort of Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity, and serves on the board of the Hazen Foundation. Previously, he served as Senior Director of Media Programs at GLAAD.
