GRIT: One Road In, One Road Out is a podcast made in collaboration with communities from the bushfire-affected Shoalhaven. Grit is a responsive action project that aims to build capacity, relationships and resilience. It features stories inspired by local young people and interviews with experts in trauma recovery, mental health, emergency response, and more. The stories featured aim to open up conversations about resilience, and hope to provide a tool to better understand and heal from the difficulties that life throws our way. Grit is funded by Resilience NSW, the Bushfire Recovery Fund , The Australia Council for the Arts, and CREATE NSW.

20 OCT. 2022 · In this eighth and final episode of Grit (for the time being) we focus on one story about Perseverance. To say anything about it might ruin the unexpected twists and turns in the way the story unfolds and what it reveals... so we hope that intrigues you enough to give it a listen.
19 OCT. 2022 · In this episode we hear the story of how Nowra got it's name, think about the dangers of speaking language, reconsider our relationship with fire, hear a story about someone who folds their clothes every night and finally we hear about how building three homes supported a bunch of local charities.

29 SEP. 2022 · In this episode we take you on the road with our hosts Sam and Archie as they tour the Shoalhaven from the south to the north looking for the signs of recovery and resilience.
22 SEP. 2022 · In this episode of Grit we begin by talking about empathy and how we understand each other. Then we share an epic fictional story about a young man wondering whether he has the grit to do what he needs to do. And we finish off the episode with some tips that can help us be prepared for bushfires.

Then we talk with a disaster recovery expert and a psychologist about what has happened to us.
